Seaweed extract - This gives Lunar Alchemy shave gels their slippery, lubricating properties. The seaweed extract we use is soluble fiber extracted from red seaweed. It is food-grade, biodegradable, and benign to both ocean environments and human skin.

Colloidal silver - In its colloidal form, silver is antimicrobial yet benign to skin and aquatic ecosystems. Silver is found naturally in the ocean at 0.0003 ppm, and colloidal silver is often taken as a dietary supplement. It is part of Lunar Alchemy's skin-friendly, ocean-friendly preservative system, and is what gives Ugly Mug and Mermaid Legs their reddish-brown color.

MSM - Methylsulfonylmethane (MSM) is a bioavailable sulfur compound found in all plants and animals on earth. It is often taken as a supplement to support joint health, and is present in the ocean as part of the natural sulfur cycle. In solution it can be anti-fungal and is the second part of Lunar Alchemy's skin-friendly, ocean-friendly preservative system.
